Assisted Living at Allerton House Hingham is a monthly rental community, so there is no large deposit or purchase required.

Each resident receives an hour a day of complimentary personal care services. This could include a reminder to take prescribed medications, assistance with showering or getting dressed, or help getting up in the morning or settling down at night. If. at some point. a resident requires more care, additional services can be added to the care plan.

We offer residents a variety of fun and stimulating activities, including fitness classes, arts and crafts, dance programs, and brain games. Musical and theatrical entertainment are also favorites, as well as off-site trips to local restaurants, shows and museums.

The only thing “typical” about a day at Allerton House Hingham Assisted Living is that it is filled with opportunities for activities, socializing, and enjoying nutritious meals.

Residents begin their day with a delicious, hot, made-to-order breakfast served in our sun-filled dining room. Then it’s off to a full day of crafts, exercise, current events, shopping and restaurant trips, scenic outings, card and word games, religious services, bingo, and musical events. Activities are scheduled all day and are personally guided by our Activity Staff.

At midday, residents enjoy a fabulous lunch with many selections to ensure a palate-pleasing experience. In the afternoon, residents enjoy taking an art or fitness class, walking the beautiful pathways surrounding our scenic residence, or relaxing inside to the sounds of the piano.

Dinner is another social occasion that is filled with conversation with friends. Plus, our Wellness Team is available throughout the day to provide assistance with medication reminders, escorts to meals and events, or bathing, dressing, and grooming. And, at the end of the day, residents sleep well knowing our caring staff is available around-the-clock.

Yes. Our Self-Administered Medication Management (SAMM) program is included in available care services. Medications are owned by the resident and stored in their apartment. A Resident Care Assistant provides a reminder when it is time to take the medication and offers assistance if needed.

Yes. Resident Care Assistants can help with bathing, dressing, escorting to meals or activities, and housekeeping. Our residency agreements include up to one hour of care every day that may be used throughout the day.

Yes. There’s no buy-in at Allerton House Hingham. Residents pay a small application fee and then the cost of monthly apartment rental. We provide the resource contacts to help with lowering the monthly expenses through programs such as Veterans Aid & Attendance.
