Wellness and fitness are part of our daily routine at Allerton House Assisted Living. Our life-enriching programming encourages involvement and engagement to promote physical and mental well-being. Our new Fitness Center offers residents an opportunity to exercise on state-of-the-art equipment, as well as to join wellness programs designed to be suitable for all fitness levels to maintain strength and flexibility.

Our fitness programming includes:

  • New Fitness Center with ergonomic stationary bikes, recumbent elliptical, exercise balls, and free weights
  • Exercise classes held six days a week and including range-of-motion activities
  • Weekly classes focus on strength and resistance training
  • Tai Chi classes twice a month led by a Certified Personal Trainer
  • Scenic quarter-mile walking path
  • Walking group that meets several times a month

Our wellness programming features:

  • Registered Nurse overseeing resident care as outlined in a Personalized Care Plan
  • Scheduled visits from specialists including podiatrist, ophthalmologist, and dentist
  • Blood pressure clinics
  • Monthly wellness clinic
  • Educational programs on a range of health issues such as diabetes, heart health, fall prevention, and back pain
