Courtyard Cookout Concert!

The July combination cookout-concert was a hit with residents and their families. Lots of fresh summertime food was on display, including grilled chicken, pasta salad, sausage with peppers and onions, watermelon, beer and wine, and refreshing lemonade. The Echos Band provided just the right blend of cool tunes.

Welch Senior Living at Annual Walk for Hospice

Welch Senior Living Director of Community Relations Leanne Welch attended this year’s Walk for Hospice to benefit Hospice of the South Shore. Held Saturday at Weymouth High School, the Walk is considered the main source of funding for those who need care and are not covered by insurance. The walk event featured musical performances, face painting, and cookie decorating.

Welch Senior Living Honors “Promise Keepers” at Annual Staff Recognition and Awards Dinner

Opening the Welch Senior Living 2018 Awards Dinner by congratulating the staff on their role as the “Promise Keepers,” Principal Paul T. Casale reminded employees that they are the ones who provide the care, comfort, energizing activities, and home-like atmosphere that ensure residents a wonderful life, and families, peace of mind. Veterans Day at Allerton House in Hingham

Residents and staff at Allerton House at Harbor Park observed Veterans Day with a tribute to veterans currently living in the community. In addition to honoring all who served and who still serve their country, this year Veterans Day – or Armistice Day – commemorated the centennial of the agreement to end the First World War. The day’s events honored 13 resident veterans who had served the United States and Italy. Beacon Hospice presented the “We Honor Veterans” ceremony.
